| Job Description: |
The College of Journalism and Communications is seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Account Executive to support account activities for its media properties, including WUFT-FM/TV, and WRUF-TV as well as all associated digital properties.
This position coordinates account sales efforts for the College's Media Properties — identifying leads, prospecting for new accounts, and maintaining current accounts. The Senior Account Executive writes proposals grounded in research of customers' products and multimedia needs, using relevant proprietary research supplied by the companies, and prepares and/or presents those proposals to secure revenue. The role provides excellent customer service to support account retention and is responsible for special projects and event coordination within the College.
The Senior Account Executive also works with an effective team including Director of Broadcast Operations and with the Director of Finance on budgetary matters, invoicing, and accounts receivable for the DMP stations. The position represents the DMP stations at community and station functions to build goodwill and foster business relationships, and performs other related duties as assigned.
Normal Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (40 hours). Hours can be irregular and may include nights and weekends. Occasional out-of-town travel may be required depending on account list and customer needs; overnight travel is expected to total less than five days per year.

| Required Qualifications: |

- Demonstrated track record of success in outside sales, preferably with experience in public media or a related media environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as advertising, journalism, marketing, communications, or business.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated, outgoing, and creative professional with a strong commitment to excellence and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with excellent verbal and written communication, reading comprehension, and basic mathematical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn and effectively use proprietary software and technology platforms.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to meet with prospective clients and partners, with strong active-listening and relationship-building skills to effectively support the sales process.
