A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field and five years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Developing web applications using C#, F#, .NET, TypeScript, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL, Python, and related technologies.
• Designing and implementing scalable software architectures for modern web-based applications.
• Developing full-stack software solutions, including server-side components, RESTful APIs, middleware services, and responsive user interfaces.
• Experience developing and deploying Python applications in Linux environments, including configuration of software libraries, package dependencies, and runtime environments for open source and for ESRI geospatial, scientific computing, or artificial intelligence applications.
• Designing and implementing data transformation, migration, integration, and standardization processes for complex data models.
• Developing software that implements or integrates structured data standards and specifications.
• Developing applications that generate, process, or transform structured data using rule-based or artificial intelligence techniques.
• Designing and implementing interactive web applications, including rich editing environments, drag-and-drop interfaces, workflow-based user experiences, and advanced data validation.
• Developing software that manages complex event sequences, state transitions, or business workflows.
• Working with relational databases, spatial databases, and geospatial data processing technologies.
• Developing mapping, business intelligence, data visualization, or analytical web applications.
• Knowledge or exposure to interactive visualization, graphics, simulation, or animation applications using modern graphics frameworks, visualization libraries, or game engines.
• Experience developing interactive editing environments involving graphical objects, spatial features, event sequencing, timelines, or drag-and-drop user interactions.
• Applying software engineering best practices, including Git, automated builds, continuous integration, automated testing, code reviews, and release management.
• Designing secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software systems.
• Experience developing software for transportation information systems, transportation safety applications, geospatial information systems (GIS), public safety systems, or other operational information systems, with preferred transportation-related experience.
