Classification Title:

Classification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of experience in appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

Perform investigator duties for the Research Misconduct (RM) program, working independently. Including the following: identify documents for review, catalog evidence, and maintain chain of custody. Conduct review and analysis of pertinent materials, in accordance with UF and federal regulations. Conduct analysis of source data, other evidence and interview transcripts. Draft assessments and reports for RIO approval and maintain compliant templates.

Maintain internal logs and records related to the RM program. Perform data entry, assist with scheduling management plan meetings, and maintain files, including record retention and destruction requirements. Maintain timelines for cases, including federal deadlines and communications.

Manage faculty committees, including appointments, reviewing for conflicts of interest, facilitating meetings, scheduling witness interviews, recording interviews, reviewing and correcting transcriptions and providing committees catalogued and organized evidence.

Maintain an understanding of research regulations, ethics, and guidelines to ensure requirements are met for each case depending on its disposition under the relevant UF regulation and sponsor-specific requirement. Maintain a familiarity with UF Research contracting, award negotiation and financial management, including an understanding of 2 CFR 200.

Expected Salary:

Salary Commensurate with Education and Experience 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of experience in appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

Experience understanding complex regulations and applying them in an academic setting. 

Experience working with university faculty and staff.

Research administration or compliance experience in an academic or federal regulatory setting.

Experience writing reports and creating original analysis based on multiple sources.
