Job Description:

This person will serve as the primary academic support for the Office of Life Long Learning’s (LLL) Distance Education Support Services (DESS) unit at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.

  • General Office Support: Serves as the primary point of contact for the office which includes answering the office phone, replying to emails via Salesforce and Outlook, and communicating with DESS team. Maintains applicant files such as transcript records both physical and electronic, as well as assisting with data entry. Assists with scheduling activities, such as appointments and meetings. 
  • Admission Support:  Supports the DESS team with the application review process by completing weekly applicant checklists.
  • Applicant Recruitment:  Assists with phone outreach for the online graduate programs in the College of Pharmacy. Duties include but are not limited to telephone recruitment calls and messaging through the Mongoose system.  
  • Execute other duties as assigned to support DESS staff and the mission of the Office of LLL.
Expected Salary:

$40,000-$45,000 annually

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred:
  • Candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and apply critical thinking skills to solve problems for provided assignments and tasks.
  • Must possess the ability to follow through on the execution of daily tasks in the allotted timeframes and meet office deadlines. 
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess a professional attitude which is conveyed in all interactions, communications and appearance.
  • Must possess strong people skills, be friendly and a team player.
  • Must have the ability to take ownership of one’s work.
  • Must be highly-organized with a consistent track record of paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administrative staff, and other campus departments.
  • Office specific applications of Form Assembly, Salesforce, Canvas, etc. will be taught.
