Job Description:

Funded partially from existing research grants, the Clinical Research Managers (CRM) work at the departmental level under the supervision of the Director, Healthcare Administration, to support department Principal Investigators, Co-Investigators, resident physicians, and central administration personnel by providing guidance on compliance with federal, state and university policies, financial, personnel, and other aspects of Clinical Research. This position will assist faculty in developing high-quality proposals, manage grant compliance reviews, and supervise a Clinical Research Coordinator II as well as other support staff as appropriate to ensure all submissions meet sponsor and university guidelines, while acting as a liaison between investigators and campus administrators.

Essential Functions:

 Project Management and Oversight: Organize, direct, and manage all OB/GYN department sponsored projects, including award management, compliance, contract negotiation, budgeting, invoicing sponsors, and monitoring study progress to ensure alignment with institutional policies and regulations..

Grant and Contract Review: Manage the review process for grant and contract awards, ensuring compliance with sponsor and University regulations while supervisingnegotiations with grant and contracting officers to advocate for appropriate budget requests and terms.

Faculty Documentation Maintenance: Update and maintain faculty Curriculum Vitae monthly to reflect all studies and publications accurately, ensuring that faculty and UFCOM research FTE reporting is conducted in a timely manner ahead of effort period deadlines.

Scholarly Activity Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate a quarterly Scholarly Activity Forum, collaborating with the CRM and administrative team members to support the design and execution of the forum while documenting costs associated with scholarly activities with the business manager and CRC II for accurate and timely entry.

Financial Oversight and Budget Preparation: Collaborate with the business manager and CRC II to document declared and miscellaneous costs associated with scholarly activities, resolve discrepancies with Payroll, conduct final reviews before submission to the Department Administrator, and assist in the preparation of the annual department budget related to research and scholarly activities.

Expected Salary:

Negotiable base on experience and academic appointment

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and two years of experience.
Preferred:

RN, BSN, Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) Experience within UF College of Medicine Research

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Normal work hours will include a mix of 8 hour shifts Monday through Sunday during the time period of 8:00am to 9:00pm based on study schedules with a mix of day and evening shifts and 2-3 weekend shifts per month. There will be occasional on call duties, and travel for professional presentations and activities.
