Plant Operator 63700300 - FS-UTILITIES-CHILLED WATER Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)
Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and operating the University of Florida’s Central Energy Plants, including the electrical, steam, and chilled water production equipment. Responsibilities include: operating, regulating and monitoring all Utility Plant equipment in an efficient and safe manner. Creating preventative and corrective maintenance work orders for Utility Plant Mechanics. The position monitors the system controls and evaluates trend performance of plant equipment against an established level of service. The Operator investigates and assists with troubleshooting the thermal plants’ conditions and controls and coordinates with mechanics for equipment shutdowns. Operators help enforce Standard Operating Procedures and maintain a safe working environment as Lockout/Tagout Issuing Agent. The thermal plants are monitored 24-hours per day. Shift work is required.

FSG-DEP Coral Data & Research Coordinator 57201000 - FSG-MANAGEMENT Palm Beach
The Coral Data & Research Coordinator is a Florida Sea Grant (FSG) position that supports the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in administering the Coral Protection and Restoration (CPR) Program. The position will assist in the administration of funding, lead research priorities, expand data management and communication efforts, and maintain DEP Quality Assurance standards. The Coordinator will be responsible for working directly with CPR Program leadership to implement high-level priorities and goals and to ensure that CPR Program efforts are aligned with Florida’s Coral Reef Resilience Program (FCRRP), disturbance response efforts and other state priorities. The Coordinator is also a conduit of information related to management priorities and data management. The Coordinator will provide technical administrative support for CPR Program data management and research priorities. As a complement to FSG’s involvement in other DEP programs, the Coordinator will also serve as a liaison between this position and FSG’s research, extension, and/or educational programs through sharing activities and deliverables.

This candidate will work with several faculty members and associated staff in The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine and the University of Florida Diabetes Institute (UFDI) on components of the state funded project known as Diabetes STEPS (Screening, Treatment, Education, Prevention, Support). The incumbent in this position will serve as the primary lead for data warehousing,management, and establishing analysis pipelines and will act as a liaison between leadership and technical staff to align project milestones with the program􀲬s broader strategic goals. As such, they will design and manage data projects and staff in collaboration with a network of STEPS affiliated clinics and laboratories. The incumbent will also interface with various genomics and tissue-image data platforms to ensure accurate processing and reporting of sequencing, imaging, and other multivariate datasets. The incumbent will also be expected to make recommendations to improve institutional data management and reporting. They will participates in or initiates proposal writing and funding searches; develop and/or presents training programs in field data management of diabetes related research

Assesses need and provides therapy to children and families verified as victims of abuse following CPT assessment. The position requires knowledge in the areas of child abuse and neglect and family dynamics, skills in the areas of assessing/case management, crisis intervention, trauma-based therapy, experience with the judicial system as advocate and expert witness, available community resources and making appropriate referrals. This position services the Jacksonville area program and includes Baker, Clay, Duval, and Nassau counties. This position requires travel to other counties.
