| The successful candidate will develop a teaching program related to the integrated pest management of arthropods. The candidate will teach at least three courses annually, including two in Integrated Pest Management (such as Fundamentals of Plant-Pest Management and Insect Pest and Vector Management), and one additional course in the department’s core or their area of specialty.
The successful candidate will develop an internationally recognized and extramurally funded research program related to IPM in agricultural systems. Research themes should broadly focus on IPM of arthropods, including areas such as biological control, cultural and mechanical practices, pesticide use, genetic techniques, and precision agriculture, among others. |

| The Extension Program Assistant will assist the Entomology and Nematology Department Extension faculty with training and education programs that engage partners and clientele across Florida. Primary focus will be working with faculty on projects focused on integrated pest management (IPM) and biodiversity conservation in horticultural systems. Work closely with Extension faculty to facilitate and coordinate in-person and web-based Extension workshops, conferences, and field days; administer and curate pre- and post-training clientele evaluation surveys; assist with registration and student support for Extension Online Learning; and curate survey data to help communicate department Extension program impacts. |
