This full-time Sr. Biological Scientist position is located in the Citrus Research and Education Center, Lake Alfred, Florida. This position is responsible for independently designing and conducting specialized, complex laboratory, growth chamber, greenhouse and field-plot studies on the mechanism of Huanglongbing (HLB) disease, with the eventual goal of generating HLB tolerant plants. This includes analyzing and interpreting experimental data and preparing research reports and manuscripts for publication.  This position is also responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Laboratory, including overseeing maintenance of laboratory inventory, maintaining a suitable stock of clean laboratory supplies and a list of lab and greenhouse needs, addressing field and laboratory safety, maintaining equipment, and training/oversight of laboratory users.
