The Department of History at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), nine-month, tenure-accruing appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of United States Legal History, beginning August 16, 2027. The Center for Advanced Spatial Biomolecule Research (CASBR) at the University of Florida College of Medicine is a shared research center dedicated to advancing spatial metabolomics and mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) across biomedical research. CASBR operates a fleet of MALDI mass spectrometry imaging instruments supporting investigators at UF and collaborating institutions nationwide, with active research programs spanning neurodegeneration, cancer metabolism, metabolic disease, and rare disorders. We are seeking a Laboratory Technician III to serve as a senior technical contributor supporting the Center's sample preparation pipeline, instrumentation, and day-to-day laboratory operations. This is an individual contributor role: the successful candidate will work independently on established protocols, exercise judgment in troubleshooting technical problems, and serve as a technical resource to graduate students, undergraduate researchers, and newly hired technical staff. Because CASBR operates as a collaborative center serving investigators across UF and partner institutions, the position also involves regular, professional interaction with external research groups throughout the lifecycle of a project. The position is well suited to a detail-oriented individual with strong wet-lab fundamentals who is interested in developing advanced expertise in spatial omics technologies within a high-throughput, collaboration-driven core environment.
