Areas of study may include, but are not limited to, molecular and cellular disease mechanisms, metabolic dysfunction including beta cell inflammation and stress responses, translation strategies for diagnosis and treatment (e.g., GLP-1 receptor agonists and approaches to mitigate side effects), artificial intelligence (AI) applications in disease modeling and prediction, the microbiome’s role in metabolic disease progression, digital pathology, biomarker discovery, and clinical decision support systems.

As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), this position is responsible for providing developmental assessments and follow up with patients within a multidisciplinary clinic.
