The postdoctoral position offers advanced training in a variety of areas related to the health service field of psychology. Postdoctoral associates receive advanced training in university counseling services. The postdoctoral program currently offers generalists positions with the possibility for additional specialization in four major areas: (1) Psychological Assessment. (2) Intensive Support (Suicide Prevention and Intervention), (3) Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention and Intervention, Program development opportunities may be available, working alongside the program coordinators for these areas. The CWC training program adheres to the American Psychological Association’s profession-wide competencies along with the mental health code of ethics and state laws and rules. We believe that this training is vital to all parts of counselor development and competence and thus, is incorporated into all areas of supervision, training seminars, evaluations, and professional activities. We seek highly qualified candidates from experimental condensed matter in quantum sciences with a focus on, but not limited to, quantum materials and quantum sensing. The UF Physics Department has a broad range of research activities focused on quantum materials and measurements that span the discipline, complemented by support from a strong condensed matter theory group and the Quantum Theory Project (QTP). Available resources in the department include machine and electronics shops with experienced technicians and a state-of-the-art helium recovery facility. The Department of Environmental and Global Health in the College of Public Health and Health Professions is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate. The successful candidate will be working in the laboratory of Dr. Zhoumeng Lin in the Center for Environmental and Human Toxicology, Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology, and Department of Environmental and Global Health, the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. Research projects for this position include: (1) development of physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models of drugs, environmental chemicals, and nanoparticles for applications in nanomedicine, animal-derived food safety, and human health risk assessment; (2) collection and meta-analysis of pharmacokinetic and tissue distribution data of nanoparticles in healthy and tumor-bearing animals using machine learning and AI approaches; and (3) integration of PBPK and QSAR models with AI methods to develop AI-assisted computational approaches to support decision-making in human, animal and environmental health. This is a 1.0 FTE, 12-month position, expected to start in November 2025, but the start date is flexible.

FSG-DEP Coral Restoration Projects Coordinator 57201000 - FSG-MANAGEMENT Broward
This position will be the program’s point person on coral reef restoration and support the state of Florida’s coral restoration priorities. This project is to directly support the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Coral Protection and Restoration (CPR) program, including assisting administration of CPR funding, leading DEP’s regional restoration and propagation initiatives, supporting the evolving stony coral tissue loss disease (SCTLD) and disturbance response effort, and expanding CPR communication efforts, through a Coral Restoration Project Coordinator (‘Coordinator’). The Coordinator is a core member of the DEP CPR Team and will be responsible for working directly with the CPR Administrator to set and implement high-level priorities and goals and to ensure that the CPR Team’s efforts are aligned with Florida’s restoration and propagation goals as well as other state priorities. The Coordinator is intended to be a conduit of information related to response activities and management priorities, including for up-to-date information on CPR-related priorities and budgeting. As a complement to the SCTLD and disturbance response efforts, the Coordinator will provide financial and technical administrative support for restoration related efforts that will further enhance Florida’s Coral Reef. These include but are not limited to coordinating closely with FWC’s Propagation Coordinator, supporting implementation of state restoration priorities, development of restoration plans at various scales, partner planning and execution of restoration-related projects and efforts, and participating in relevant working groups and calls.
