This position is responsible for the performance, quality, and accuracy of the results reported; maintenance of instrumentation, including scheduled, preventive, and troubleshooting, as needed; preparation of standards, calibrators, and reagents; and adherence to the laboratory's quality management program.

The Grossing Histotechnologist position is part of a growing service line within UF Health Pathology Laboratories. Quantitative Pathology is responsible for the implementation and testing of cancer specimens using quantitative image analysis of Immunohistochemical (IHC) stained slides and In-situ Hybridization (ISH/FISH). Testing is performed using automated IHC staining instruments, IHC scanning and quantitation instruments, and FISH hybridization and scanning instruments. Opportunities to perform histology for our electron microscopy and molecular sections, and some grossing are expected.
