This is a full-time position reporting to the PM Scientific Director. The ICBR PM shared resource offers comprehensive molecular analytical services to support a wide range of life science research on campus. The incumbent will work independently to prepare biological samples for mass spectrometry (MS), including Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI) workflows for the analysis of peptides, proteins, and metabolites in biological specimens. This individual must be familiar with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), mass spectrometry technologies, and analytical chemistry techniques. The CRFT III must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, possess attention to detail, be able to multitask, and follow strict standard operating procedures. Additional duties include contributions to the development, optimization, and validation of new methodologies that may lead to new service offerings.
