This position collaborates with department and college leadership to develop and implement research administration policies, procedures, and best practices; facilitates compliance from award inception through closeout; and provides strategic advice on risk management, complex funding mechanisms, and faculty effort allocation. The RA III operates with a high degree of independence and exercises sound professional judgment on complex, nuanced matters. |

| The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a full-time Research Administrator II to provide independent, comprehensive pre- and post-award administration for an assigned portfolio of Principal Investigators and sponsored research projects. As one of three research administrators supporting the Department’s growing research portfolio, this position serves as a key financial and administrative partner to faculty and department leadership. The Research Administrator II leads proposal development and submission, monitors sponsored project financial activity and expenditures, supports budget development, management, and forecasting, and ensures compliance with University, sponsor, and regulatory requirements throughout the full award lifecycle.
The Lillian S. Wells Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida, College of Medicine is committed to providing comprehensive clinical services for the diagnosis, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients suffering from diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system, including brain tumors, aneurysms, stroke, epilepsy, functional disorders, and spinal disorders and injuries.
