This position is in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) and will provide critical administrative support for the Engineering Leadership Institute (ELI). The incumbent is expected to directly support the ELI Director and Associate Director in responsibilities related to scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars, course scheduling support, internal and external communications, and creating and maintaining up-to-date office policies and standard operating procedures. The incumbent works closely with ELI leadership and UF Advancement in planning events hosted by the Institute. The person will provide professional interaction with and hospitality to diverse internal and external stakeholders, including prospective and current parents and students, faculty, staff, administrators, and employers. As such, the incumbent works comfortably as a member of a team. The individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and must possess excellent administrative and clerical skills. The incumbent must manage an array of different responsibilities and, thus, must prioritize their work flow, be proactive with assignments, be detail-oriented, and take ownership of their responsibilities. The incumbent coordinates efforts with the Engineering Innovation Institute’s (EII’s) administrative assistant to ensure efficiency of operations and a collaborative spirit between the two institutes. As a representative of the UF and HWCOE communities and the “face” of ELI to guests, the incumbent must maintain a professional, outgoing, and helpful attitude. The incumbent is expected to support the overall mission of ELI, embodying at all times a focus on integrity and character, as expected of all ELI personnel and students. |

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development Administration for Family & Campus Development, the Assistant Director of Development, Leadership Annual Giving will be focused on qualifying and soliciting leadership annual giving and mid-level prospects. The incumbent will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors by engaging prospects through a variety of mediums (face-to-face, phone or in writing). Additionally, this role will periodically be tasked with special fundraising projects in particular areas, such as parents or student life, and work closely with the Office of Estate & Gift Planning to support their lead generation and prospect discovery/qualification processes. This position is located in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology (CHP) in the College of Public Health and Health Professions (PHHP) and will serve as the Academic Program Specialist, specifically for the graduate and internship programs. This is a highly professional position requiring daily contact with students, faculty, and the university community. The incumbent will assist departmental leaders in developing program strategy and long-range planning. Additionally, this position performs a broad range of administrative duties in support of the department, students, and faculty, and as such, must present a professional demeanor and attitude, maintain a high level of confidentiality related to sensitive issues, initiate problem-solving techniques, provide excellent and helpful customer service, and exercise independent and prudent judgment when completing the tasks and responsibilities associated with his/her duties. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating the graduate and internship programs, working closely with the Director of Graduate Education, Director of Clinical Training, and Internship Program Director for strategic initiatives, which include all recruiting activities, admissions, and statistical data needed for reporting those activities.
