| As an Academic Program Specialist I, this individual will engage with partners across the university to highlight the benefits of pharmacy as a career, as well as become the point person that promotes our pipeline programs and Pharm.D. program at UF events. This individual will also assist with academic advisement for pre-health professional students seeking admission to the College of Pharmacy. This position will manage, track and help the Pharmacy Early Assurance Program (PEAP) grow oversees the strategic development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of programs designed to recruit, engage, and retain future Pharm.D. students.
Other responsibilities involve assisting with the recruitment of students, teaching an orientation seminar to UF freshmen, maintaining accurate records for reports and interaction with computer systems established by the University to track and advise students. This position exercises considerable independent judgment in program administration, student advising, recruitment planning, and enrollment management initiatives while serving as a key contributor to the College's student recruitment and engagement strategy.
This position also serves as the Admissions program coordinator for the Gator Pharmacy Exploration Camp (GPEC), overseeing planning, assist with application review, and on-site execution in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy Community Engagement office. |
