| Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for National Security Research / Executive Director of the ARNS Lab, this position will play a central role in shaping, launching, and executing the ARNS Lab’s applied research portfolio during its stand-up and early operational phases.
This role is responsible for coordinating research program development aligned with national security priorities, supporting sponsor engagement and capture activities, and integrating faculty and institutional capabilities into externally funded programs. The Associate Director will work closely with government sponsors, industry partners, faculty investigators, and UF Research units to translate strategic priorities into executable research programs that support classified and unclassified national security missions.
This position is highly collaborative, externally facing, and execution-focused, requiring strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate in an evolving, startup-like environment.
The Associate Director for Research Programs will serve as a key member of the leadership team for the Applied Research for National Security (ARNS) Lab at the University of Florida’s new Jacksonville campus. To support program development, central campus leadership and transitional planning activities, this position will initially be located in Gainesville, and will transition to the University of Florida’s Jacksonville campus once established. |

| Project Manager for the Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) Division for Major Projects. Prepare written facilities programs for proposed buildings and other structures; Works with University Planner to determine building site locations to conform with the master plan; advertisement for selections of professionals, construction managers, and commissioning agents; executing contracts; representing UF User group and presenting their needs to architects and engineers in the development of various stages of drawings/specifications phases; delivers presentations to appropriate committees. Works with the University Architect in all aspects of professional selection and design phases. Responsible for planning, designing, and monitoring the construction and alteration/renovation of UF buildings with $2M to $100M+ budgets. May represent the Director of Construction or the Assistant Director in their absence on behalf of the division. Responsible for complete project record keeping and tracking. Mentor, guide, train and develop PD&C Project Managers Level I and II, responsible for project management duties, including project direction, project budget, accounting, contracts, negotiations, reporting, and paper and electronic processing. Assist with developing new policies, procedures, standards, and divisional goals. |

| The Student Health Care Center at the University of Florida is seeking a psychiatrist to join the Student Health psychiatry team which includes MDs and psychiatric Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The is a full-time (1.0 FTE) non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor faculty position and will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive psychiatric care to UF students facing diverse mental health challenges including general mental health disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and substance abuse disorders. Additionally, the role includes maintaining clinical records and participating in after-hours psychiatric emergency services serving the UF student community. The candidate’s impact will extend beyond direct student care as collaboration with various campus entities is integral to our mission to help every student achieve optimal health in the pursuit of personal and academic success. Guided by the Director of the SHCC, you'll operate with independence while collaborating closely with a talented team of medical professionals, including Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
The Student Health Care Center is fully accredited by the AAAHC and is a comprehensive medical facility that offers primary care, sports medicine and acute care, gynecology, nutrition, immunization and allergy services along with a full pharmacy, lab, x-ray and ECG services. The facility is a 46,000 square foot platinum WELL certified building located on UF’s main campus.
