The position directly supports Pepperdine's Department of Facility Services with repair materials for the Malibu Campus. The position manages and distributes inventory and maintenance materials to ensure timely maintenance and repairs of campus facilities and equipment. Assist Central Receiving with the processing of parcels and freight; maintain accurate records of inventory received and issued; perform other related duties as assigned.
Operate Warehouse Forklift and Material Handling equipment in the performance of duties.
Duties
- Handle and process warehouse materials and inventory. Receive and account for stock, issue stock to end users, and perform miscellaneous inventory activities.
- Process accountable mail, parcels, and freight from USPS and overnight delivery companies using the computer tracking system.
- Operate Warehouse Forklift and Material Handling equipment in the performance of warehouse duties.
- Provide assistance to Moving Services to University departments. Manage surplus inventory at the Calabasas warehouse.
- Schedule and perform University event setups. Place and arrange furniture and oversee the services of outside vendors hired to support events.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: High School diploma or two years of professional schooling beneficial; good driving record with current California class "C" drivers license; one to two years experience in one or more of the following helpful: Shipping and Receiving; Warehouse Stock processing; Inventory Management Software. Customer Service. Demonstrable experience with Material Handling equipment required; good verbal and written English skills; knowledge of safety standards in a materials handling environment helpful; full manual dexterity for the operation of University trucks/vehicles and material handling equipment; demonstrable ability to lift 100 pounds and carry 25 feet; demonstrable ability to operate trucks, vans, forklifts, pallet jacks and computers. Microsoft Office and programs; Excel, Word. Adobe Acrobat. General understanding of Google Mail and Calendar.
Preferred: TMA inventory management software. Communication Proficiency; Organizational Skills; Technical Capacity; Time Management; Record Keeping. Enterprise resource planning systems or warehouse inventory management system is preferred.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.
Expected Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
