The purpose of this position is to execute student account-related processes and transactions that allow prospective and current students to settle their tuition.

This position performs functions critical for maintaining operational excellence, contributes to effective enrollment management, and ensures customers' satisfaction with student account related services.

Duties

  • Oversees Promissory Notes, Company Reimbursements, and Boeing Special Billing accounts. Handle students' Withdrawals/Cancellations/Drops. Responds to students' and staff's inquiries pertaining to student accounts. Provides in-person, phone, and email counseling on student account-related issues.
  • Manages the Finance Petition approvals, processes tuition summary forms/invoices. Process students' refunds; perform daily student account audits. Administer the PeopleSoft system regression testing and Rate Table audits.
  • Handles cash/check payment processing, including student accounts mail. Set up students' accounts and payment plans. In charge of reviewing/updating the Student Accounts website and the Financial Information of the PGBS Academic Catalog.
  • Presents at new student orientation and participates in other events organized by the program offices for new and continuing students. Attends training events
  • Maintains the Student Accounts Calendar.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of current and position-relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of student account processes and federal regulations related to student accounts.
  • Excellent communication/customer service/interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed oriented, able to administer individual and group counseling.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, familiarity with imaging systems, web based systems and applications.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree, Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance.
  • 4 years of current position-related experience.
  • Experience in project management, with the ability to coordinate tasks, manage timelines, and support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft Student System.
  • Proficiency in Etrieve imaging system.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $24.23 - $26.92 per hour

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
