Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Office of Executive Education Programs in Change and Consultation in the Department of Organization and Leadership is seeking a part-time Organization Development Coordinator (ODC) who will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with all administrative aspects of the Executive Master’s Program in Change Leadership (XMA). The position reports to the Associate Director.

This position is available on a semester basis or as a one-year commitment. Please note that the start/end dates for each semester in XMA may be different from other programs offered at TC and include prep time prior to each module and between modules. Accordingly, this position is offered from May 07, 2024 to May 20, 2025

The XMA program is delivered in five modules, all of which are required time commitments for the ODC (in addition to pre- and post-module responsibilities). Module schedules for Cohort 12 are as follows:

Summer 2024:
Module 1 (Change Leadership: Theory & Foundations): June 3-9, 2024 (in-person delivery - TC, Smith Learning Theater)
Module 2 (Group & Team Dynamics): July 29-August 6, 2024 (in-person delivery - TC, Smith Learning Theater)

Fall 2024:
Module 3 (Individual & Interpersonal Dynamics): November 10-17, 2024 (in-person delivery - Tarrytown House Estate)

Spring 2025:
Module 4 (Change Leadership Frontiers): Part 1 - February 26 - March 1, 2025 & Part 2 - March 5-8, 2025 (online delivery)
Janus Module: May 18-20, 2025 (in-person delivery - TC, Smith Learning Theater)

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Course Support

  • Partner with Associate Director and Director to deliver in-person and virtual Modules.
  • Manage and/or prepare all materials and resources prior to and during in-person and virtual Modules for XMA.
  • Create numerous student-facing documents (e.g., maps of campus and off-site location information for cohort, faculty, and staff; handouts related to technology, etc.).
  • Quality control for all student-facing materials and all faculty materials.
  • Work collaboratively with Graduate Assistants in creating and producing XMA materials.

Student Support

  • Manage and respond to administrative inquiries (usually Module-related) from current XMA students.

Module Attendance

  • Must attend all XMA Modules
  • Must be available 3 weeks prior to each module for preparation and set-up.
  • Manage administration and logistics during Modules, in consultation with Associate Director and Director.

Facilities

  • Manage on-site related events and logistics, including room reservations, catering, and technology and duplicating needs.
  • Work collaboratively across numerous Teachers College offices, as well as with off-site administrators when Modules are held off-campus.

Infrastructure

  • Manage databases, and communication platforms, and update the program website as necessary.
  • Support Associate Director in managing the XMA Alumni community

Administrative - General clerical duties, including:

  • Ordering, organizing, tracking, and storing supplies (for Modules and the office).
  • Creating, reviewing, and printing materials for faculty and staff as necessary.
  • Tracking and managing invoices, payments, receipts, etc.
  • Partnering with Associate Director and Director on XMA office initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours

  • Average of 20 hours per week, but hours vary considerably. Some weeks will require more than 20 hours while other weeks will require less than 20 hours

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent in education, experience, and training
  • Excellent, documented administrative skills and experience
  • A commitment to the importance of administration as core to the facilitation of students’ learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and interest in working well across differences within a team
  • Strong detail orientation and energy to focus on detailed tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to see the connection between administrative tasks and larger goals of the program; conversely, ability to break down abstract academic objectives into key tactical action items
  • Enthusiasm about collaborating with Program Faculty & Staff to create a superior learning environment
  • Ability to work in a relational culture in which managing complex relationships across multiple stakeholders and adhering to institutional processes and procedures is how work is accomplished
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • High tolerance for ambiguity
  • Master’s or doctoral student with knowledge of, experience in, or interest in executive education and/or change leadership

Salary Range:

$45.00 - $45.00
