Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Clinical Psychology Program invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Faculty position, with appointment to ideally begin September 1, 2025. The new faculty member will provide research mentorship, teaching, and service in both our clinical Ph.D. and M.A. degree programs.
We seek a candidate whose program of research focuses on mechanisms of psychopathology and/or treatment across the developmental spectrum, with a preference for a focus on studying children and adolescents (e.g., suicide). Candidates whose research leverages cutting-edge theoretical perspectives and methods, including for historically marginalized groups, are particularly encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in prospective candidates with a proven track record of published research and federal grant funding (or potential to procure funding).
The new faculty member will be expected to assist in service to our masters and APA-accredited Ph.D. programs. Additional opportunities include research, clinical, and community outreach interfacing opportunities through the Dean-Hope Center and the Teachers College student training clinic. Candidates with a doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or equivalent) from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program are strongly encouraged. The clinical program highly values a diverse intellectual community, and we strongly encourage applications from all underrepresented groups. We are especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.
