Posting Summary:
The Department of Organization & Leadership (ORL) is seeking an experienced Program Assistant. The qualified candidate will provide advanced-level support to our Summer Principals Academy (SPA) program.
Job Summary/Basic Function:
The ideal candidate will have experience in research, data collection and entry, technology, and social media. The person in this role is expected to possess organizational and time management skills and be able to prioritize and handle simultaneous demands, meet deadlines, have a strong work ethic, sense of initiative, be a team player, be able to multitask while maintaining professionalism, and have excellent follow-up skills.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with tasks in various degree programs.
- Assisting with the logistics of events and cohort activities.
- Providing faculty with requested materials in the classroom.
- Being the point of contact when other staff are not available.
- Support hospitality tasks for students and guests in various programs.
- Work with the Program Director and Senior Program Manager to assist with degree programs and enrollments.
- Under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager, provide website and catalog updates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills and can create concise, professional work.
- Must be able to abide by the Student Privacy Requirements/FERPA.
- Must be available to work flexible hours and work occasional Saturdays and evenings as needed.
- Strong communication, writing, and technology skills (e.g. Google Drive, Google Apps, Zoom, Canvas, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic website maintenance).
- Strong ability to use social media (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Ability to work independently with exceptional follow-up skills.
- Exercise professional judgment, work independently, show initiative, communicate effectively, and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education or academic environment preferred.
- Experience in developing partnerships and collaboration globally.
- Experience in organizing events and sponsorships.
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills/ team player.
- Ability to work with conflicting demands and to meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using Mac, background in technology and web experience is highly desirable.

$30.00 - $30.00
