Job Summary/Basic Function:


The Department of Human Development at Teachers College, Columbia University invites applications from highly qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach in one or more of the programs offered by the department (Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Science in Education, Learning Analytics, Applied Statistics) during the Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 terms. Courses are offered to doctoral and masters students in the department and throughout the College. Both on campus and online assignments are available.

Responsibilities

Teach one or more sections of courses in the Department Human Development in face-to-face or online format. Duties include classroom teaching, creation and distribution of course syllabi, assignments, assessments, and grading.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in a related content field
  • Content expertise
  • University teaching experience
  • The candidate must be a US citizen or have visa status permitting employment in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of successful teaching from a recently taught course

Salary Range:

Starting at $4,500 per semester
