We welcome part-time Cook/Cook Assistant to join Australia’s first multi-generational precinct located in Mordialloc to create delicious meals for our children aged between 6 weeks and 6 years, ensuring the highest hygienic standards and best practice food safety are always upheld.

TLC Early Learning provides 118 places for children aged six weeks to six years delivering an innovative program where the children and aged care residents will enrich each other’s lives.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting Chef with preparing morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea
• Adhere to the National Quality Standards of food preparation
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
• Basic food preparation
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety

Hours of work

• Offering 25 hours per week between Monday to Friday

• Opportunity to pick up extra hours in our onsite café and bar.

About you

• Experienced in meal preparation, online ordering and stock management
• Knowledge and passion for principles of multi-generational care model
• Understanding of dietary guidelines and food safety and handling practices
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness
• Excellent communication skills

• HLTFSE001 – Follow Basic Food Safety Practices
• HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education setting
• Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or Early Education and Childcare (desirable) 
• Working with Children Check

• Eligibility to work in Australia
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
