TLC Early Learning Mordialloc provides 119 places for long day care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old.

Our leading curriculum, developed in collaboration with Melbourne University and Griffith University, incorporates innovative approaches drawn from early childhood research.

With a focus on integrated and inclusive learning, we strive to foster connectedness and engagement within our communities, including the residents of the co-located aged care home through our innovative intergenerational program, Jellyfish, ensuring every child feels at home as they learn, play and grow.

 About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping young minds, delivering well-structured lessons, and creating a safe, stimulating environment. Your dedication will help children build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to young learners.
  • Regularly assessing student progress and identifying those needing additional support.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Supporting the social, physical, and emotional needs of children.
  • Communicating effectively with parents about their child’s development, behaviour, and any concerns.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About you

  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice with children
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team environment
  • Familiar with current trends in Early Childhood
  • Understanding of the Child Safe Standards
  • Excellent communication skills

  • A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or a similar degree or a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood). 
  • Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) 
  • Working with Children Check
  • Police Check
  • Protecting children: Mandatory reporting module
  • Food Safety and Handling Certificate
  • HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education setting
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
