The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bus Driver – Lifestyle Assistant to join our team across our Central region sites. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents remain connected to their communities, safely transporting them to various destinations while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for resident outings
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting the bus
- Ensure comfort and safety throughout transit
- Conduct basic vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting
- Support and facilitate daily activities that promote residents’ independence, wellbeing, and cultural values
What you’ll be doing
- Provide safe transportation to external outings
- Manage boarding and exiting the bus to and from outings
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during transit
- Basic vehicle maintenance, cleaning and minor troubleshooting
- Provide the best person-centred care
- Support daily living that optimise our resident’s independence, health, wellbeing, cultural beliefs and quality of life
Things that matter to us
- Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing)
- Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
- Current Driver’s License
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
- 2025 Flu vaccination
- NDIS Check (includes Police Check)
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
