The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bus Driver – Lifestyle Assistant to join our team across our Central region sites. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents remain connected to their communities, safely transporting them to various destinations while fostering a positive and engaging environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for resident outings
  • Assist residents with boarding and exiting the bus
  • Ensure comfort and safety throughout transit
  • Conduct basic vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting
  • Support and facilitate daily activities that promote residents’ independence, wellbeing, and cultural values

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide safe transportation to external outings
  • Manage boarding and exiting the bus to and from outings
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during transit
  • Basic vehicle maintenance, cleaning and minor troubleshooting
  • Provide the best person-centred care  
  • Support daily living that optimise our resident’s independence, health, wellbeing, cultural beliefs and quality of life

 

Things that matter to us

  • Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing)
  • Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
  • 2025 Flu vaccination
  • NDIS Check (includes Police Check)
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
