Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Gambier, OH
The Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary (“General Counsel”) is the chief legal officer of the college responsible for managing the college’s legal affairs and overseeing legal services provided to the college. A key member of Kenyon’s senior leadership team, the General Counsel reports to the President and provides advice on a wide array of legal questions, including the impact of existing and proposed laws and regulations on college operations or policies. The General Counsel serves as the liaison to Kenyon’s external legal counsel, who provides legal counsel on topic-specific matters. The office also oversees the organization of Kenyon College Board of Trustee meetings and maintains the minutes of board committees and other key college committees. The General Counsel serves as an informational resource for the Board of Trustees and advises and briefs the President and board on a full range of board matters, including governance policy and practice.
Director of Philander Chase Conservancy Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the Director of Philander Chase Conservancy. Philander Chase Conservancy has protected nearly 6,000 acres within a five-mile radius of the Kenyon College campus through permanent conservation easements, agricultural easements, fee simple title acquisition, and other conservation efforts. Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach (Offensive Coordinator) Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach (Offensive Coordinator). This is a full-time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. Under the general direction of the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III Men’s Lacrosse program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach will work in conjunction with the head coach to fulfill the following responsibilities: coaching student athletes focusing primarily on offensive schemes (including Face-Off Men, and Man-Up unit), scouting opponents, and recruiting. The assistant coach will also plan travel, order and inventory equipment, monitor student success and outcomes both in and out of the classroom, and maintain communication with prospects, families, alumni and friends via social media. Assistant Director for Student and Young Alumni Giving Gambier, OH
The Assistant Director for Student and Young Alumni Giving will help develop and be primarily responsible for executing the Advancement division’s strategy as it relates to young alumni and student philanthropy. In cooperation with partners across the division and the College, this role is responsible for guiding the process by which students and young alumni learn about the importance of giving back to Kenyon and the impact their giving has on the life of the College. Within the Advancement Division, this position's primary responsibilities are managing Student philanthropy efforts, supervising our student calling/outreach program, and overseeing the Senior Class Challenge, our senior class gift initiative. Within the first year, the successful candidate will oversee the transition of the College’s student call center into a student ambassador program that will support the Advancement division through fundraising and engagement as well as conduct student philanthropy education. Through the Senior Class Challenge the Assistant Director will work alongside the current senior class to set fundraising goals and create engagement opportunities throughout their final year at Kenyon. Kokosing Nature Preserve Green Burial Coordinator Gambier, OH
Kokosing Nature Preserve (KNP) seeks an independent and goal-oriented individual with a high level of emotional intelligence to serve in a part-time capacity to lead the day to day activities of the natural burial cemetery. This position will report to the Philander Chase Conservancy (PCC) Director and under the oversight of the KNP Board of Directors. The Green Burial Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the operations of the conservation burial ground, including marketing, sales, record keeping, licensing, and interment services as well as land management. Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology (Archaeology), 2-year position Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a two-year position in Anthropology at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2024. Completion of Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after July 1, 2024. We seek an archaeologist who does not overlap with the department's current strengths in Mesoamerica. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an excellent teaching record, an active research agenda, and a strong commitment to including students in ongoing research. Responsibilities include teaching a 3/2 course load over two semesters in the academic year. The successful candidate will teach one section of Introduction to Archaeology every semester, upper-level courses in archaeology, and classes associated with their area of specialization. Telecommunications Officer, Part-Time Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Campus Safety Telecommunications Officer, Part-Time. Hours worked per week and shifts worked will be dependent on coverage needs, including weekends and possibly holidays. The rate of pay is $16.50 per hour between the hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm, $17.75 between the hours of 3:00pm to 11:00pm and $18.00 between the hours of 11:00pm to 7:00am. Part-Time Campus Safety Telecommunication Officers receive double their hourly pay rate when scheduled to work a shift during recognized college holidays. This is a collectively bargained position and without benefits.
Associate Director, Student Accessibility and Support Services Gambier, OH
