Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a two-year position in Anthropology at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2024. Completion of Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after July 1, 2024. We seek an archaeologist who does not overlap with the department's current strengths in Mesoamerica. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an excellent teaching record, an active research agenda, and a strong commitment to including students in ongoing research.

Responsibilities include teaching a 3/2 course load over two semesters in the academic year.

The successful candidate will teach one section of Introduction to Archaeology every semester, upper-level courses in archaeology, and classes associated with their area of specialization. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
