Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Manager of Finance Office Operations. The Manager of Finance Office Operations is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day activities of the Vice President for Finance, the Controller and the Finance/Accounting Office in general.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the Home Mortgage Guaranty Program for Exempt Employees.
  • Manage Kenyon Real Estate Tax & Real Property Exemption Applications.
  • Manage Kenyon’s Department of the Treasury BSA E-filing (Foreign Bank Accounts).
  • Manage the Great Lakes College Association Tuition Remission Program.
  • Manage College Visa and rental car company credit cards.
  • Manage the State Tax Return Filings.
  • Serve as Eaton Center Building Manager.
  • Assist with issuance and annual disclosure documents for College’s debt.
  • Supervise the Finance Office Administrative Assistant and apportion the following duties between the two positions as the need arises during the course of the year.
  • Assist Vice President and Controller prepare for Board of Trustee Meetings.
  • Assist Vice President and Controller with travel arrangements when needed.
  • Assist the Director of Business Services with managing College owned housing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Exercise excellent judgment and sensitivity in the handling of confidential information.
  • Is adept and diplomatic in dealing with both internal and external constituents.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Is flexible, self-motivated and has a strong sense of initiative.
  • Pay strict attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective in supervising other employees and understanding the shifting needs of the work day during the course of the year.

Working Conditions

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Ability to lift boxes or items up to 30 pounds or less is needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant office experience. 
  • Strong skills in oral and written communication.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
