Kenyon College is seeking applications for an Applications and Systems Administrator (ASA) in the Information Technology (IT) department of the Library and Information Services division.  This is a full-time, permanent, benefit-eligible position.

About Us:  Join our Team!

Kenyon College, one of the nation’s finest liberal arts colleges, is a small school where academic excellence and a strong sense of community go hand in hand. Kenyon’s beautiful hilltop campus is located in Gambier, OH, 45 miles northeast of Columbus, OH.  Kenyon enrolls 1800 undergraduate students, all of whom live on campus the entire time they are students at Kenyon.

The Information Technology (IT) department is an inclusive group committed to ensuring all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other campus partners have a safe, productive, enjoyable, and meaningful experience with college technology.  We provide creative solutions, responsive services, and reliable, secure access to an enabling infrastructure.  IT is a part of the Library and Information Services division, an encouraging environment where we grow, learn, and pursue our craft. We are helpful, kind, friendly, and respectful of all. We enjoy a sense of humor--something we find essential to our success. We make our work fun whenever possible! Work/life balance is valued here: we love our work but understand that there is more to life. Professional development and diversity are also valued here: we continually learn new skills, grow in our understanding of the world around us, and explore new technologies.

About the Position: Do Work that Matters!

Are you a versatile IT professional with a knack for tackling a wide range of technical challenges?  If you're adept at managing complex systems, optimizing database performance, diving into server logs, and developing innovative solutions, we invite you to join our team.

The Applications & Systems Administrator (ASA) reports to the Director of Institutional Data Systems and supports college enterprise data systems and their data integrations. The ASA will interact regularly with other departments to support the mission of the College, collaborating extensively with other members of the IT team. The major functional areas for the Applications and Systems Administrator include system and database management, integration and analysis. The ASA creates and maintains custom system integrations that connect and synchronize data between enterprise software systems and performs the detailed analysis needed to implement these integrations effectively across a combination of campus and cloud infrastructure.

IT team members are encouraged and expected to develop and grow their skills to match the needs of the institution, and to help others grow, too.
