Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a visiting position in Modern Languages and Literatures Department at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in July 2025.
A PhD in Spanish Language and Literature, Hispanic Studies, Comparative Literature, or a closely related field is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and a demonstrable record of teaching excellence in Spanish as a second language. Preference is for a generalist in 20 th - or 21 st -century literature and culture. In the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, the Spanish program at Kenyon offers a wide range of Spanish language, literature, film, and translation courses, and it allows students to major and minor in Spanish. The program is looking for an energetic and innovative candidate to teach language courses at all levels, courses in the curriculum, advanced courses in the candidate’s field of expertise, and courses that contribute to interdisciplinary programs. The teaching load consists of a 3/2 course schedule.
