Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified individual to fill the position of Director of Partnership Programs and Experiential Opportunities. This is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for developing and implementing a new portfolio of experiential opportunities that are revenue-generating, reputation-enhancing, and student-focused. These opportunities will include summer residential programs and regional immersive programs that align with the College’s mission, values, and institutional goals related to enhanced student experiences. The Director of Partnership Programs and Experiential Opportunities will establish, in collaboration with other campus colleagues, the infrastructure and roadmap for these initiatives. The director will build programs that connect students with on-the-ground experiential opportunities that engage with alumni, national and regional partners, and the community. The ideal candidate will have a background and experience in the development and implementation of student-focused programming and summer academic-related programs for high school, undergraduate, and/or adult learners. This position will necessarily collaborate and partner with key stakeholders in the President's and Provost's offices, as well as others across the campus, to implement the strategic plan.
Essential Responsibilities
Program Development
- Responsible for developing, building, and implementing new programs for Kenyon College that are revenue-generating, reputation-enhancing, and student-focused, including summer residential programs and regional immersive experiences that align with the College’s mission and values.
- Assist in recruiting efforts for the program; identify and contact schools, teachers, counselors, and other resources; participate in site visits; and follow up with interested students, teachers, and counselors.
- Consult with faculty, site directors and instructors on curriculum development as needed.
Operational & Logistics
- Develop operational procedures, budgets, calendars, and workflows for each program cycle.
- Arrange the various details of the programs, including the hiring of staff, reserving campus facilities, maintaining enrollment data, and processing applications.
- Coordinate with campus units (e.g., Facilities, IT, Dining, Housing, Enrollment, Academic Departments) to ensure seamless program execution, including housing and transportation logistics, organizing schedules, ensuring the smooth operation of programs, and being on call as assigned during the programs.
- Answer queries from participants, parents, and campus partners.
Marketing and Outreach
- Conduct needs assessments and market research to understand potential growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Communications and Admissions to develop marketing strategies targeting diverse learner populations.
- Ensure a robust outreach plan to schools, counselors, employers, and alumni.
- Distribute marketing materials and place online advertisements.
Support other programmatic goals identified by the President, senior leadership and CDO Director.
- Provide reports on programming.
- Collect and furnish data and metrics on all aspects of programming.
- Lead management and monitoring of budgets.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in designing and managing academic or enrichment programs.
- At least two years of experience working with high school, undergraduate, and/or adult learners.
- Demonstrated strong ability in oral and written communication.
- Proven ability to do long- and short-range planning.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably from a liberal arts college.
- Master’s degree preferred.
