Kenyon College is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Administrative Assistant in the Academic Division of the College. This person will support academic programs and departments as assigned.  This position is (1540 hours/year), with most of the hours allocated to the academic year, and includes a generous benefits package.  The hourly rate of pay is $17.96. Review of applications will begin on January 6th, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: assisting faculty members, administrators, and their departments/programs with clerical duties related to the teaching, research, and administration of their departments/programs; coordinating travel, scheduling, events, and accommodations for faculty searches, workshops, and other events; creating, maintaining, and updating web pages; compiling and coordinating information for publications such as the Course Catalog; purchasing office supplies; tracking and reconciling department and program budgets, supervising student workers, and other department/program support duties as assigned.  

The successful candidate will be someone who has strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Access), Google environment, PDF document creation, and text recognition/scanning software is preferred. The ability to learn new software packages and the willingness to undertake training to do so are also desirable.

Prior experience providing clerical support in an academic setting is preferred. Must enjoy working with a variety of faculty, staff, and students. We are especially interested in candidates with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, that have the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, and have the willingness to learn new skills.
