Visiting Assistant Professor of Drama (emphasis in Acting)
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked, liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a one-year full-time visiting position (with possibility of renewal) in Drama (emphasis in Acting for the Stage) at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in July 2019. The successful candidate will teach the equivalent of five courses each year, including one section of Introduction to the Theatre, courses in acting, and one or two courses in dramatic literature. This faculty member is expected to direct one of the season’s main stage productions, in lieu of one course, and advise several senior thesis productions. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the performing arts in the context of a liberal arts education and an ability to work successfully and collaboratively in an inclusive environment. A completed MFA and professional acting experience is required.
