The Role
As a part of Fanduel Trading solutions team, you will be required to work on the applications used by our trading team to trade events on multiple platforms. You will work on projects, where you will need to liaise with stakeholders to understand the requirements, turn requirements into design documents and designs into code. You need to be able to apply appropriate technologies to build the UI, integrate with api’s, and involve in test, sign off and support activities.
About you
With several technical projects under your belt, you will understand how to autonomously tackle problems of increasing technical complexity and deliver solutions that enhance our team’s software and technical processes. We use many of the latest technologies, practices, and tools, so you will also need to be comfortable with constantly learning and have a keen interest in your own professional development.
Essential Technical Skills
- Commercial React experience is a must
- Typescript (desirable)
- Unit testing & mocking frameworks (Jest, Vitest or similar)
- CSS and working with style guides and/or frameworks (Bootstrap, Material or similar)
- Experience with Restful API’s and WebSocket’s
- CI/CD - Continuous Delivery (GitHub Actions, Octopus, Jenkins or similar)
- Experience in producing high quality code utilizing practices like TDD, BDD
- .NET Core and C# experience is favorable to have but not mandatory
Other Skills
- Proactive attitude and adept at collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experienced in working in agile environments using Agile methodologies
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to high traffic / distributed software systems
- Exposure to high throughput mission critical systems
