About the Role
Join our agile Cloud team as a senior engineer in a small team dedicated to making Sportsbet more secure. This person will operate in a centralised team that are Subject matter experts in AWS security. We create products across Vulnerability Management, Detection Engineering, Incident Response, IAM and Network Security. This is an engineering role first and foremost, with a heavy reliance on coding and building development capabilities to scale influence and create impact across the business
You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced lead engineers through both formal and informal mentoring programs to help you be the best engineer you can possibly be.
About You
You’re qualified and experienced in all things cloud. More than that, you have a security mindset and passion for all things security. You understand the “as a service” technologies, platforms, and applications that will help power our business into the future. You are also passionate about sharing knowledge with others, increasing awareness of good development and security practices.
To be successful, you will have experience/skills in the following:
- Strong experience developing testable software with languages like Python or Typescript.
- Experience with AWS, with the ability to design and deploy scalable, reliable and secure applications independently.
- A solid understanding of cloud networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks).
- Experience and/or an interest in Security domains like Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, IAM - and how they work in an enterprise cloud environment.
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Strong communications and stakeholder management skills
