About the Role

The Performance Lead is a pivotal role focused on driving team performance through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and data-driven insights. This position combines a deep understanding of trading dynamics with strong leadership qualities to optimise processes, influence pricing strategies, and deliver commercial results.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading experimentation efforts to test and refine pricing models.
  • Creating, managing, and updating the BAU trading playbook for effective use.
  • Driving ideation and influence within the team to shape trading strategies.
  • Collaborating with Senior Analysts and Team Leads on high-impact projects.
  • Interpreting and acting on data insights to improve market outcomes.

About You

Trading Expertise

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in trading or pricing with a strong grasp of market dynamics and optimisation strategies.
  • Proficiency in using pricing models and tools effectively.

Analytical Skills

  • Strong data analysis skills with experience in performance analysis and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing or new market creation).
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel and power BI

Project Management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results efficiently.
  • Experience in managing and optimising trading processes or pricing strategies is highly desirable.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
  • Experience guiding or mentoring team members.
  • Ability to demonstrate leading a team.

Market Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of betting markets, expected margin, and the levers that impact performance including emerging trends and innovations.

Communication

  • Strong written and verbal skills for presenting insights and influencing stakeholders.
