The role is responsible assisting the Quality Manager in reviewing and monitoring quality aspects of the project through offsite and onsite inspection and testing. Implementing remedial actions in case of any deviations and defects found on site. Guiding the operation team to maintain adherence to quality standards; ensuring timely reporting and document management with the Objective of delivering efficient quality in Leighton's projects adhering to the requirements of the Client and Leighton Asia guidelines.
The purpose of the Commercial and Risk Department is to establish the framework, governance, policies and procedures for the following activities across Leighton: * Contracts and Sub-contracts; * Procurement * Legal * Risk Management Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role is to assist in the Commercial Management and Contract Administration of the project both with the Client and the Supply Chain with the objective of minimizing financial recovery whilst acting with fairness and integrity.

Document management & correspondence Tasks: • Processing: generally involves scanning, copying, printing, and uploading; preparation of design submission packages; updating electronic registers (i.e. in Excel); inputting of data into Incite; the controlled movement of data within Incite; maintaining the team’s hard copy library; any other associated activities as requested; maintain files/records and document the same • Documentation: consists mainly of design data (drawings, calculations, reports, specifications, etc), submissions from sub-contractors and their responses following review by Client / Interested Parties / Consultants (drawings, method statements, ITPs, as-builts etc), RFIs and their responses, and so on. • Follow all established document control and Project procedures, highlighting non-compliances and suggesting improvements • Draft emails/letters on relevant matters related to engineering document submissions in consultation with supervisor • Assist with report creation by following up with concerned persons for inputs, collating information together and getting the report ready on time for presentation/meeting • Receive/send external & internal couriers; Re-direct to intended recipients based on content
Quality planning Tasks: • Liaise with the project team to understand the project objectives; Develop inspection and test plans and required templates, forms, checklists, etc. as per contractual, statutory and LA guidelines and requirements • Review the plans and quality related documentation requirements with the Environment & Quality Manager and seek approval • Support communication of the quality management system & framework (including forms, checklist, etc.) to the construction team Engineering management Tasks: Understand drawings submitted by the Engineering Manager (such as permanent works engineering, installation engineering) and develop a comprehensive understanding of the implications for the project Participate in regular design reviews (such as for constructability), understand end-products of Engineering (such as 3-D modelling) and direct project team members to deliver as committed Monitor plans and deliverables in line with Engineering plans and resolve on-going issues that may arise Review key deliverables for adherence to quality and design requirements
