Job no: 493690
Work type: Internship
Categories: Engineering, Internship
Responsibilities:
- Improve sustainability in two key areas of our operations:
- Value Chain Decarbonisation – This looks at reducing carbon emissions from the transportation of goods. You will help assess current logistics practices, identify carbon hotspots, and explore ways to make transportation more energy-efficient and climate-friendly.
- Waste Valorisation – This involves analysing waste generated within our own operations and identifying opportunities to reduce, reuse, or repurpose that waste into something useful, instead of it being discarded.
- Assist in mapping current processes, gathering data, and proposing practical ideas that support our shift towards a greener, more resource-efficient supply chain.
Requirements:
- Currently a university student pursuing Environmental Engineering or Environmental Earth Systems Science.
- Able to commit to a full-time internship (Jan - May 2026).
- Data Analysis – Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets to track transport data or waste volumes.
- Research Skills – Able to find and summarise best practices in sustainable logistics and waste management.
- Understanding of Supply Chain – Some familiarity with supply chain flows (from manufacturer to customer) is helpful.
- Critical Thinking – Can spot inefficiencies or gaps and suggest simple, practical improvements.
- Communication Skills – Able to present findings clearly, both in writing and simple visual formats.
- Interest in Sustainability – Passion for climate action, green logistics, or circular economy.
*Please state your full-time internship availability at the top of your CV (start and end date). Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
