In this rare and exciting opportunity, Australia’s best real-life magazines, Take 5 and that's life!, are looking for a hardworking and talented Senior Content Producer (Lifestyle) to join its friendly team.
You'll be responsible for planning and writing digital and print content, pitching ideas, working closely with the Editors to ensure weekly deadlines are met and workflows are followed, as well as working with the legal team to ensure copy is legally sound and TGA-compliant.
Additional responsibilities include working closely with Advertising to ensure clients’ needs are being addressed, attend client meetings, key events and presentations as required, and be responsible for upholding the brand standards and the reputation of Are Media at all times.
Duties
The Senior Content Producer (Lifestyle) role is a vital part of the Real Life team, working across print, digital and social media. Day-to-day duties include:
- Write, research and publish lifestyle content to help grow the circulation, page views, engagement and revenue of Take 5 and that's life!
- Create digital-first shoppable content in line with brand’s omnichannel strategy
- Pitch ideas to editor 6-8 weeks before publication
- Ensure fact checking is completed and copy is TGA-compliant to prevent any legal complications
- Create social content for the brand – organic or commercially-led – when required
- Work with the Picture team and Designers to ensure images and layouts for stories meet brand standards
Skills and experience
- Solid journalism background, ideally with some experience on a magazine, or local or online newspaper
- Ability to meet deadlines within dynamic environments
- Effective time management and ruthless prioritisation
- Can juggle competing demands to achieve deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of media law
- Professional, mature and decisive in approach
- Highly focused, goal and results oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to use social media to the benefit of the brand
- Proficient Microsoft Office package skills
