About the role
Are Media is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Sydney-based finance team, managing end-to-end accounts payable functions for both Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the AP/AR Operations Manager and collaborating with two fellow AP Officers, this role ensures timely and accurate vendor payments, invoice processing, and resolution of discrepancies.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare weekly EFT pay cycles for Australia and New Zealand, including WTH/GST Payments
- Maintaining vendor master files,
- Respond to vendor inquiries
- Complete daily processing and verification of invoices in the automated invoice processing system, ESKER
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in an office environment, with previous Accounts Payable experience highly desirable
- A confident communicator and problem-solver
- Effective time management, a high degree of accuracy and eye for detail
- Have a sense urgency to complete tasks promptly but accurately
- Self-motivator and willing to learn
