About the role
The Agency Lead role is a key, leadership role within the NSW Sales team. Owning the relationship across a consortium group at all levels, responsible for the business plan, growth and engagement with the group, backed by the powerhouse engine of the Are Media team.
- Drives year-on-year revenue growth through targeted agency strategies
- Shapes cross-platform campaign solutions, reinforcing Are Media’s reputation for integrated excellence
- Cultivates internal collaboration, ensuring seamless delivery and maximising client satisfaction
- Builds and mentors talent, strengthening our leadership pipeline and sales capability
Duties
- Lead and nurture strategic agency relationships to influence planning and buying decisions
- Develop and execute the annual agency business and growth plans in partnership with Sales leadership
- Monitor and report on revenue forecasts, pipeline health and post-campaign performance
- Coach, develop and performance-manage direct reports, aligning to Are Media’s development framework
- Foster strong inter-departmental collaboration to deliver unified omnichannel solutions
- Ensure accurate AdPoint usage, data entry and compliance with reporting standards
- Identify opportunities for new revenue streams and product innovations within agency networks
- Champion personal and professional development initiatives to maintain a high-energy, balanced team
Skills and experience
- Extensive agency account management and business development experience
- Proven ability to navigate and influence complex stakeholder matrices
- Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen and commercial negotiation skills
- Exceptional presentation and communication capabilities
- Deep understanding of digital, print and programmatic media landscapes
- Prior experience leading teams in a media sales environment
- Familiarity with publishing and cross-platform operations (print, digital, partnerships)
- Demonstrated success driving agency-led integrated campaigns
