About the role
As Head of Direct, you will steer Are Media’s NSW Direct Sales Team by defining category strategy, optimising pipeline performance and empowering Category Partners to exceed revenue targets. You’ll champion integrated media solutions, drive new business and provide the leadership framework that ensures sustainable growth.
Duties
- Drive revenue growth and retention from key partners and new business
- Set and communicate clear short-, mid- and long-term category plans
- Monitor pipeline and forecast, ensuring data accuracy in AdPoint
- Coach and develop Category Partners against performance metrics
- Escalate and resolve strategic or delivery challenges
- Identify new revenue streams; hand off leads to CPs for closure
- Lead regular performance reviews, team meetings and development initiatives
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to deliver seamless campaigns
Skills and experience
- Proven media sales leadership, with team-management experience
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic planning skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation capability
- Deep knowledge of print, digital and programmatic media
- Experience in publishing or cross-platform operations
- Track record of new business development in direct sales environment
