About The Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised support to older Australians who reside around the Ballina area. This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity with working hours between 7am and 7pm with some potential weekend shifts (no sleep over shifts). You will be required to travel around the Ballina area as you will support multiple clients each day within their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Personal Care including grooming and showering
- Supporting with tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients
Skills & Experience
- Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) will be highly regarded
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to clear a National Criminal History Record Check and completed an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
