About The Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant you will provide personalised support to older Australians in Mackay and surrounding suburbs, helping them to continue living independently in their own homes. This role requires a willingness to travel, as you will be performing back-to-back, short shifts while supporting multiple clients each day.
We have multiple part time opportunities available. Your working hours will be in between 7am to 7pm, no sleepover shifts required.

Key Responsibilities
- Domestic duties which may include but are not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, emptying bins, washing/ironing
- Preparation of meals and obtaining groceries on behalf of clients
- Assisting clients in organising medical appointments
- Be aware of safety issues and report hazards in the working environment including recording any changes in clients health or behaviours of concern
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) is preferred
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and complete an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
