About the role

Support our Aged Care clients to remain living independently in their own homes through the provision of basic domestic assistance and personal care support across suburbs of East Melbourne including Diamond Creek, Kilsyth, Ringwood, Wantirna and surrounds.

You will help our clients remain living independently at home between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm on weekdays, assisting various clients throughout the day.  Travel will be required across suburbs of East Melbourne between clients, with a mileage allowance provided. 

The successful candidate will have availability for casual shifts across 3 weekdays, hold a certificate III in Individual support or similar and be experienced and confident in providing personal care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light cleaning
  • Personal Care including grooming and showering
  • Community access to medical appointments and social activities
  • Assistance with tasks and routines outlined by an approved medical professional
  • Build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients to establish positive relationships

 

Skills & Experience

  • A current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification
  • An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or other relevant qualification
  • Experience and confidence in providing personal care
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
