About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker you will be dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals accessing our Lifestyles Support who reside on Norfolk Island. Norfolk Island is located in the South Pacific Ocean between New Zealand and New Caledonia.

We have Casual opportunities available where you will provide support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required. Successful candidates will have availability to work a range of shifts, including before and after school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
  • Participate in community activities and assist clients to perform daily living tasks
  • Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record keeping
  • Build meaningful positive relationships with our clients and their families
  • Build positive relationships with the people we support and their families

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted Norfolk Island driver’s licence
  • Commitment to a work a variety shifts dependent on client needs
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Qualifications and experience an advantage but not essential.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check where applicable.
