About the role
Provide leadership to a growing team focusing on client outcomes, quality, standards, growth, and performance of our in-home/community aged care services across NSW. This role would suit someone who has the drive and commitment to take our client focussed aged care programs to the next level.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and grow our newly established aged care footprint in Newcastle as well as contribute to the continued uplift and growth of Aged Care across other areas of New South Wales
This role would suit someone who is an experienced community services leader, has strong financial understanding, commercial acumen and relationship building skills. This is a permanent full-time position which will be based in Newcastle with hybrid work from home arrangements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop yearly growth and marketing plans for NSW aged care for new customer business and becoming employer of choice
- Network and develop strategies to identify opportunities for sustainable growth
- Provide evidence-based information to inform a nationally consistent marketing strategy
- Implement local business development strategies that contribute to the positive and sustainable growth and diversification
- Ensure long term sustainability of funding for core programs through innovation, outstanding service delivery, effective promotion and strategic relationship management
- Monitor, coach, support, motivate and develop team members
- Provide coaching, support and advice on complex client needs, service delivery issues and critical incident response
- Drive change and a culture of continuous improvement within teams
- Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with key stakeholders and partners
Skills & experience
- Degree qualification in Human Services or related discipline
- Experience in a business development role within Community Services, Health or similar
- Understanding of Aged Care Reforms – Support@Home
- Proven record of driving growth and performance in regions
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to the care and protection of service users
- Demonstrated experience in creating positive change of teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage services and programs within a budget
- Ability to support and lead organisation-wide initiatives that support Life Without Barriers’ Purpose and Values
- The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies
- Current driver’s licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
