 About the Role 

Provide personalised in-home care support to older Australians, assisting them in remaining living independently in their own homes. Travel will be required to support clients in their own homes across Rockhampton and surrounding suburbs including Gracemere, South Rockhampton, North Rockhampton & Parkhurst.

The successful candidate will be available for casual shifts on weekdays (with occasional weekends) between 7am to 7pm, providing coverage for leave and last-minute shifts with up to 15 hours per week available.  This opportunity would suit someone looking for flexible and additional hours that can be tailored to suit school hours or other commitments.

Key Responsibilities 

• Domestic assistance duties (cleaning, laundry etc)

• Meal preparation and assistance with daily living 

• Social supports and community access 

• Personal care

Skills & Experience 

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or similar) or prior industry experience

• Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community 

• An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a reliable registered vehicle 

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships 

• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment) 

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check.

• Casual hourly rate from $39.55 per hour + Super +.99 cents per kilometre while you work
