About the Role

Provide one-on-one support to young people living with disability in their homes or the community, working short, split shifts required.

Shift times:

Weekly Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 3:30pm to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently supporting clients with daily personal care
  • Domestic assistance including meal preparation
  • Assist clients with travel to appointments and offer support during community outings
  • Ability to follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team
  • Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in managing behaviours of concern and complex trauma is essential
  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence
  • Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
